Battles fought under burning sun. Blood-red rivers slowly run. Screams echo, shots from a gun, Dust-covered graves, buried as one. Midst the bones the voices come: Our land forever, thy will be done.
Michele dedicated this poem to her Elders and ancestors who fought "beside you, not against you".
